Let's create timeless keepsakes that celebrate your growing family and evoke precious memories for generations to come.
One of the biggest questions I get from clients is, “Should I book a mini session vs. full session?” That’s a totally valid question! This is such a common question with the the craziness of running around with kids. How do you know which session will get you the pictures you are looking for? Will the kids cooperate? Where to even start? Getting the kids ready and just daily life can be insane because there are so many to-do lists. Does this sound like you? I’m here to help!! Below, I’m sharing about how to choose between a mini session or a full session.
Mini Session
Mini Sessions are a great way to get a quick update and refresh of family portraits. Always busy and on the go? This will be a breeze! Mini sessions are 10-15 minute sessions depending on the mini session offering. This is the perfect amount to time for getting some quick updates for holiday cards, gifts or framed pictures for your house as the kids just keep growing so darn fast! Many families I serve book several mini sessions throughout the year to chronicle the growth of the family (those little faces change season to season). I also have families that come once a year for mini sessions. These sessions are designed to be short and sweet sessions for busy families and you only have to sell dad and kids on a short timeframe.
Full Session
The biggest difference between and mini session and a full session is time! A full session is for you if you are looking to capture a special occasion from maternity and lifestyle newborn sessions to first birthdays with cake smashes and beyond (yes they will be on to Sweet Sixteens & High School Senior Portraits way too fast!). These sessions are designed to give plenty of time to capture sweet moments for your family and celebrate with you! As a mom myself, I know that there will always be a long list of pictures you want to have as your family grows. A full session includes WAY more images than a mini session. (It also provides a larger variety and allows time for individuals which make for awesome wall displays and keepsakes). Full sessions are custom tailored to each client, we discuss your dream for the session and make it a reality.
