As a Hunterdon County photographer I get quite a few questions that pop up on a recurring basis about so many things! I thought I would take this opportunity to answer some of those questions. This is the second installment of an ongoing series of FAQ’s that come up. Often, I get questions about session details and my process at Golden Heart Photography and I would LOVE to share all of it with you!

WHAT IS THE PROCESS LIKE BEFORE MY SESSION?
I absolutely love working closely with my clients, before their session, to make the experience as simple as possible. There are a few emails that all clients receive before their session. All clients, both mini sessions and full sessions, will receive an email with my Client Experience guide included. Full sessions and studio sessions get some extra emails as I work with you to create the perfect vision for your family (wardrobe styling & set design/location).
My goal is to make sure I answer your questions before your session. I will often times send an email in reference to something you put in your questionnaire. The most important email is the Final Information Email that comes the week before your session. This email contains location details and my direct contact information for if you need to reach me the day of. If you need anything during the process, please feel free to email or message me. I am here to help!
WHEN DO I PAY?
We will confirm availability on desired date, I will send over your contract and retainer invoice. In order to secure your date on my calendar, you have 48 hours after booking to submit the retainer payment. The retainer (Creative Fee) is non-refundable, under certain circumstances, it may be transferred to a new session! Once your creative fee is paid, your date is secured on my calendar and the client experience process begins. Digital files & custom artwork are purchased separately after your session. I offer online and in-person ordering appointments to help you create beautiful artwork for your home.
DO YOU HAVE A LIST OF PREFERRED LOCATIONS?
Yes, I do! I currently serve Hunterdon County and surrounding areas and have worked hard to compile a list of locations that I love to photograph at in a variety of areas. I always love client suggestions, especially if there is a place that is special for you and your family as well. If you are not sure where you want to have photos taken, reach out to me and let me know what kind of location you are looking for and I will happily make suggestions or do some additional research for our session!
